At our practice we have the knowledge and technology to fit your teeth with crowns and bridges, possibly on implants. During an appointment, the dentist can determine what the options are and based on this a treatment can be planned.
When do you need a crown?
There are several situations in which you may need a crown:
* You have a broken tooth that needs to be repaired.
* You have a weak molar or tooth that needs to be protected against fracture.
* A molar or tooth that has undergone a root canal treatment must be protected.
* A large filling must be replaced if there is not enough dental tissue left.
* For aesthetic reasons.
When do you need a bridge?
If you are missing several teeth, you may be eligible for a bridge. Not filling the open spaces in your teeth can lead to tooth shifts or twists and it doesn't look nice either.
Cost
The costs of crowns and bridges can vary considerably, because the price depends on several factors. For example, the costs of a crown depend on the type of material and the technique used. The dentist can work with you to determine whether you are eligible for a crown or bridge and make a cost estimate, so that you know where you stand and will not be faced with unexpected costs.
